How to Get Life Insurance

Friday, March 28th, 2008

How do you get life insurance? You go to an insurance agent or an agent that specializes in selling life insurance. You will sit down and the agent will interview you beginning with the state of your health. After this interview is done, then the agent will match you to any and all life insurance policies that you will be approved for. Next, the agent will give you an idea of how much that you are going to pay per month for this life insurance policy. Once the payment is made, the policy is made legal and you will have coverage as long as you pay for it. Certain riders and provisions will apply to your life insurance policy. This means that certain conditions will apply as far as a time limit, price, and coverage. If you cancel the policy, there will be a fee that will need to be paid to the insurance agent as part of the agreement. There is always a 7 day “free look over” that applies to any life insurance policy. If you do not want it, return it in seven days and a refund of premium will be given.

What is Life Insurance?

What is life insurance? Life insurance is insurance on your life. This insurance helps you to look at the future and will cover you for a specified amount for as long as you have life insurance. The other case would be if you have what is called “Term Insurance”. Term insurance is meant for only a specific term such as ten years. After the 10 years, the policy would no longer be able to continue in force and a payout of all that was put into this policy will be paid to the owner. This term insurance is good for those with no illnesses and others that own businesses so that they can get the money out within a certain period of time. These insurance policies can be used as the collateral for a burial. In fact a lot of them are issued. They are the second most popular form of life insurance. Regular life insurance has terms too, but not a set limit as in the term insurance. Depending upon health and/ or illness, you may be issued a life insurance policy. This is determined by a sheet listing the ranges acceptable to the issuer.
