How to Get Health Insurance

Friday, March 28th, 2008

How do you get health insurance? Health insurance is sold by licensed insurance agents that deal in this particular type of insurance. When you call or have an appointment, the agent is going to ask you some questions about your general health. When the questioning is done, then they will have a much better idea of how to insure you so that you get the maximum benefit from your health insurance. Certain type of health conditions may exclude you from getting a health insurance policy. If you are in good condition with little medical problems, they will probably insure you for the amount that you request. Finding an insurance policy to suit your needs is next. After that is taken care of, then the policy will be issued. Any change in your health needs to be reported to the agent immediately, or you risk losing your insurance to cancellation. You can also be cancelled due to non payment. So keep your payments updated. This will help you to continually keep health insurance just in case you need it. Being insured takes a load off when you need to see a doctor or a hospital fast.

What is Health Insurance?

Friday, March 28th, 2008

What is health insurance? Health insurance is basically the same thing as medical insurance but with one twist. Health insurance covers the health of a person by limiting the person’s access to the provider’s network. Much like medical insurance, this is supposed to help a patient save money and time by using only one provider in the network. This however is not always the case. Health insurance costs have gone up dramatically in the last few years as more and more people need to use the network for health care. Since the insurance is going up, less and less people can actually afford it and the benefits are becoming more and more restricted, to the point where many are needing health care but either cannot afford it or can’t get it due to a very restricted network. Health care in the U.S. has reached a point of critical mass and needs to be addressed immediately so that there are more people that need this insurance can get it and have their medical problems treated by the network that is supposed to treat them instead of having to rely on charity care or no care at all.
